to Know
Pollen season usually starts mid January and goes until mid April. In this time you might see pollen on your pool, specially on the walls. Please, be aware that even when the team vacuum and clean everything, pollen will keep falling to the pool. Although it does not affect the quality of the water, we work hard to keep everything under control.
In order for chemicals to react and keeps the water safe, the pool pump needs to run a set of hours during Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter. The technician evaluates each pool by size, sun exposer and system. It’s normal for when the weather is hot to be on for 10 to 12h a day and when it’s cooler around 8h a day. Again, that depends on each pool and usage.
With the end of Summer, the rainy season comes to its end as well. We advise our clients to keep an eye in the water level of your pool. The ideal level is “mid tile”, which means, with the skimmer cover at least half way. That prevents your system to get air and damage your pump. Anytime is below that mark, please fill it. Our technicians also keep an eye every visit as well.
The filter is responsible for, well, filter the water. It needs to be washed at least every 2 weeks, and usually runs fine for 6 months to 1 year, depending on the usage of the pool. Replace the cartridge is something you can do it on your own or let us do it for you, all you need is check the size and make sure to buy reliable brands like Unicell, Pleacto or Super Pro.
